How to become a member of St. Peter
Lutheran Church
|
How
to
transfer your membership
to St. Peter:
Contact your home church office and request a Transfer of Membership to
St. Peter, Macomb. Upon receiving the request, St. Peter will
contact you to set up an appointment with the Pastor. You
will
then be invited to an Orientation Session that has been scheduled for
the month. Your name will be presented to the Elders at their
regularly scheduled meeting, the first Thursday of the month.
How
to become a
member of St.
Peter if you are not Lutheran:
The
Adult Instruction Class focuses on
Jesus Christ and
covers the teachings of the Lutheran Christian Church.
Although
there is no obligation to join our church, this class is the avenue
through which you may become a member of St. Peter, if you so choose.
The class is offered a number of times throughout the year, usually on
Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM. The nursery is staffed from 9:15 - 11:45 AM
on
Sundays for children 3 and under. Children over 3 years are
encouraged to enroll in Sunday School.
This class reaches out to people who are:
- Spouses
of members who recently
joined our church
- Parents
of children in St. Peter
Lutheran School who
would like to know what their children are being taught
- Couples
married at St. Peter with
only one a member
- Visitors
who express interest in
membership
- People
whose names were given to us
by members as
possibly interested in membership
- Members
who would like to review
the Lutheran doctrine
Please contact the church office if you are interested in attending
this class. You will be placed on the mailing list and an
invitation will be sent to your home.
It is our prayer that through this class the Holy Spirit would enable
you to see Jesus more clearly with the eyes of faith and help you to
grow as a member of His church or lead you to become a member of His
Church if you are not already.
