St. Peter is a congregation which has been blessed with a rich family heritage. Some families have been members of St. Peter for seven generations!

Honoring this rich family heritage, and desiring to encourage and promote healthy Christ-centered families, the Family Life Ministry strives to:

  • Encourage the families of our congregation to nourish, lead, guide, and raise their families, children, and marriage relationships based on Christian values as modeled by our Lord and directed by His Word.
  • Respond to the various needs of the family units (traditional, blended, single parents, and singles) of our congregation through educational settings, retreats, seminars, and in any manner that promotes and supports them, such as:
    • Marriage preparation classes and seminars.
    • Marriage enrichment classes and seminars to help strengthen the marriage relationships of the couples in our congregation.
    • Parenting classes and seminars that support families with early childhood, middle childhood, and adolescent young people with Biblical directives and guidelines.
    • Educational activities and forums that address the concerns of all age groups being sensitive to intergenerational and life span issues.
    • Classes, seminars, workshops, etc. that respond to families in crisis, divorce, or other special needs.
    • Reach out to our surrounding community with information, classes, and seminars that promote and strengthen families with the saving message of our Lord's grace, forgiveness, and absolution.
