MEET
OUR MINISTER OF
YOUTH
Bo and
April Chapman

Bo Chapman has been serving in
student ministry since 1997. He
originally graduated with his BBA & MBA from the University
of Texas at Tyler
in 1994 and 1996, respectively, before being asked to serve as the interim student
minister at Trinity Lutheran Church,
Tyler. Shortly thereafter, he would become the full time student minister for
Trinity, Tyler, and would spend nine years working there with students and
their families. It was also during this time that he obtained his certification
as a Director of Christian Education through Concordia University Texas’
distance learning program. In late 2006,
Bo accepted the call from St. Peter Lutheran Church to serve as their
Director
of Student Ministries and officially began his new role on January 21,
2007.
As far as
his family, Bo was blessed to be able to marry the love of his life, April, on
December 27, 2003. Later God would bring a beautiful daughter, Mallory, into
their lives in June of 2007, and a wonderful son, Mason, in September of 2009.
Personal
hobbies for Bo and his family include lots of time together traveling and exploring
new things, involvement in music, as well as, playing and watching sports
(okay, maybe the sports is just for Bo).
Having the
opportunity to work with students and families over the years, Bo will tell you
that his love for people, the Christian faith, and most importantly, his Lord
& Savior, continues to grow. His desire remains to share the good news of
Christ, live out his faith day to day, and help others in their personal and
spiritual growth.
