Pastor Mark Wuggazer was baptized by his grandfather on August 19, 1965 at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Birmingham, MI. Mark went to NYU for two years and graduated from Wayne State. He then spent several years in the business world, most notably as Director of Marketing for WJR, and Program Director for WDFN. During this time he served as a volunteer youth leader for 8 years at Redeemer before he realized that maybe God has bigger plans for him. He attended Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Exegetical Theology and was certified for ordination. He has the distinction of being the first fifth-generation graduate of Concordia Seminary. Upon ordination he became youth pastor at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. He served the congregation on staff for 13 years.
Mark’s wife Jennifer is a Speech Pathologist in the Warren Consolidated School District. The couple has one son, Henry and a daughter Celia. His hobbies include canoeing, camping and community theatre. Both his father Duane and grandfather Theodore served Redeemer as Senior Pastor.
Bo Chapman has been serving in student ministry since 1997. He originally graduated with his BBA & MBA from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1994 and 1996, respectively, before being asked to serve as the interim student minister at Trinity Lutheran Church, Tyler. Shortly thereafter, he would become the full time student minister for Trinity, Tyler, and would spend nine years working there with students and their families. It was also during this time that he obtained his certification as a Director of Christian Education through Concordia University Texas. In late 2006, Bo accepted the call from St. Peter Lutheran Church to serve as their Director of Student Ministries and officially began his new role on January 21, 2007.
Bo was blessed to be able to marry the love of his life, April, on December 27, 2003. Later God would bring a beautiful daughter, Mallory, into their lives in June of 2007, and a wonderful son, Mason, in September of 2009.
Personal hobbies for Bo and his family include lots of time together traveling and exploring new things, involvement in music, as well as, playing and watching sports (okay, maybe the sports is just for Bo).
Having the opportunity to work with students and families over the years, Bo will tell you that his love for people, the Christian faith, and most importantly, his Lord & Savior, continues to grow. His desire remains to share the good news of Christ, live out his faith day to day, and help others in their personal and spiritual growth.
