Jane Otto – 5th Grade Teacher
My name is Miss Jane Otto. I have been teaching for 33 years. Thirty of those years have been in Lutheran Education in grades 2-5. I was fortunate to teach for three years in Germany at a Department of Defense Dependent School. I grew up on the west side of Detroit. I graduated from the Detroit Public School system. It was during 8th grade I decided to become a teacher. With the help of my DCE I followed the path to teach in Lutheran schools. I went on to attend Concordia University in Seward, NE. I furthered my education by getting a Masters in Reading from Eastern Michigan University.
It is a blessing from God that I became a Lutheran teacher coming from a public background. I enjoy having the freedom to share God’s Word everyday with children. Lutheran Education is a wonderful foundation for children to build upon their life.
In my free time I enjoy being outdoors by biking, jogging, and gardening. God has blessed me with the love of travel to explore all His creations. I visited several states and countries.
Cindy Lojewski – 5th Grade Teacher
Hello! My name is Cindy Lojewski and I am SO EXCITED to be teaching fifth grade this year.
I attended Oakland University and completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with minors in Language Arts and Social Studies.
I have been teaching for nine years and the last seven of those years have been here at St. Peter. I was honored to teach with the Lutheran Special Education Ministries team and in second grade. I have worked with students in preschool through eighth grade.
I love teaching and particularly love teaching here at St. Peter, it is truly a privilege and blessing to share God’s Word in the classroom on a daily basis!
My husband, John and I have been married for twenty-five years and have two sons that are in college. We enjoy spending our weekends and free time visiting our kids on campus or traveling and boating with our extended family and friends.
